Meet Our Founder

Rev. Sukdev Patra

Sukdev Patra, a man of faith and a true disciple of Christ, has dedicated his life to pioneering new churches and spreading the gospel in West Bengal, India.

Born into a Hindu orthodox family in a remote village named Gosaba, he knew Christ through a godly lady who taught him and showed him a christ example life. Facing persecution and rejection from his family and friends for following Jesus Christ could not weaken his faith in the Lord.

He received continuous support from other believers and stayed true to his path to bring glory to God. read more

His Journey To Enlightenment:

In 1978, he joined the West Bengal Bible school Tollygunge after completing his higher secondary course, to complete his diploma in Theology course.

In 1984, he completed the three-year undergraduate course BTH (Bachelor of Theology) from Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, sponsored by AG Mission, Kolkata.

He served as a senior Pastor in the AG main Church, 18 Royd Street, Kolkata, for ten long years.

His Works Till Date

He, along with the members of his dwell ministry (Teaching and Pastoring), has established 11 churches in different districts of West Bengal, reaching more than 8,000 people with the message of God’s love.

He worked closely with the late Rev. Mark Buntain and his wife, the late Rev. Dr. Huldah Buntain, the founder of the Kolkata AG Mission.

He has also been involved in social activities to help the needy and poor.
